Batumi International Tourist Guide Conference (BIGC)
The Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara is honored to invite you to International Tourist Guide Conference, which will take place on February 21-22 in the city of Batumi.
The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience, and the best practices in the field of tourist guide profession. This event will also serve as a convenient platform for professionals working in the tourism and related industries to meet and network.
As part of the conference, three thematic panel sessions and presentations will be held on the following topics:
- The role of guides in promoting tourist destinations. Tourist guide as a destination brand ambassador
- Global tourism and the tourist guide profession. Unique experience, modern technologies and challenges
- Tourism and museums. Museum as cultural heritage and repository of history
As part of the conference, attendees will enjoy a tour of Batumi, visits to the region's main attractions, as well as folklore show and culinary masterclasses.
